While the 2017 World Championships' first Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, the 1894 Formula 1 Grand Prix, began on January 10, Azerbaijan had already won the first title in the sport, a pair of victories in its first round (which included its first ever pole position) last year. As expected, Russia took a good look at the Azerbaijanis last week and had a decision to make about whether to give one more title to this nation, or to keep an eye on the Asian champions with which they entered the series.

The Russians have a long history of winning World Championship titles, winning on the final podium of the Hungarian GP in 1997, the first race of the Hungarian Grand Prix the following year, and the European Grand Prix in 2008. In order to earn a spot in the next World Championships, the Russian team must make it into the first round of the Asian series, which will start in September in Malaysia.

While this is a very different situation for Azerbaijan, its track record speaks for itself. They haven't lost a race on its roads since 2003, including two in one season. At the same time, it's clear that they don't have many strong points of their own in Malaysia, so as long as the car is the same the team needs some help and they're always going to look for ways to make it easier to make stops for cars that aren't equipped for the track conditions as much as they would like in order to minimize the difference in time.

So far this year, all of the teams have signed up to a list of 25 teams for the first race of the Malaysian round in September and the first of eight races in the next round (two of which are held in each other's homologation windows, the other two being held during a weeklong window with no opening practice). The World Championship will consist of two race weekends, each race weekend starting with four hours of one-day racing and one half-day racing. It's also going to be held in Asia.

At the beginning of January, the list of teams participating in the World Championship, including those signed up to the Malaysian team, have been announced by the FIA and Baku confirmed that it will be represented by this team. At the same time, all of the teams have stated the fact that it will be the last season on the series for 2018 and the following season after that. The final race of the series for 2018 is set for October 1st and the following season, for 2019, is likely to be the last race of the championship.

Group welcomes govt plans to update palliative care with specialist drugs from £250 million to £3.6b

New UK guidelines for palliative care will be introduced this year by the government

This new guidance will increase the number of specialist drugs that can be used in people with severe dementia but the impact on patients has not been adequately evaluated yet, according to experts.

But a review commissioned by the government and commissioned by the NHS Confederation estimates that, if the £250 million figure is to be carried forward for 2018, palliative care drugs, such as ventolinium and nivolumab, will be made more affordable by bringing them into line with the cost of medicines used to treat heart disease, diabetes and multiple sclerosis.

The review into palliative care funding is due to be released before the government unveils its plans for 2018. NHS England has been meeting a series of parliamentary committee meetings in an attempt to bring forward a report that will examine whether more drugs and care may be needed.

According to The Observer, these drugs include Ventolinium and nivolumab, which are often used for depression. These drugs work by lowering a person's blood pressure by keeping oxygen levels at a constant level.

It is believed that these drugs help patients with advanced dementia as they have a lower rate of the diseases' symptoms when compared with others.

Professor Chris Macdonald from Oxford University, chair of the Health and Wellbeing Committee at the Royal College of Neuro-Psychopharmacology, called for a review of the NHS's approach to palliative care. He said: 'The current approach to treatment for dementia is not particularly good. We need more palliative care that will put people back to a normal life before the disease comes back and cause them to need more and more care and help.

'We are talking about the introduction of more drugs that could reduce suffering and increase quality of life for patients in a way that is sustainable, is beneficial and is economically sensible.

'There needs to be a much more thoughtful approach to palliative care that allows us to deal with problems properly while respecting other human needs. We

Seven people, including two children, have been killed in an explosion and fire at a boat resort north of Brisbane.

The first explosion occurred in The Lighthouse Marina at 2:00am (AEST), and a second at 9:30am (AEST).

The National Emergency Management Agency said a vessel in the harbour with an estimated capacity of 200 people had a broken fuel line and capsized.

People at the scene said the dock was gutted, and a large boat overturned near the boat launch.

There was a "thumping" noise and "something like thunder" and people were on the deck looking for their lives, said Michael Gaudriard, who works in a nearby restaurant.

He estimated he was in the room of about 10 people who were in the kitchen watching TV.

Three people had already been taken to hospitals and it was now believed that three more people might be injured.

Police said all the victims were from around the Sydney area.

Emergency crews were called to the scene in the middle of the morning.

Queensland Police confirmed the deaths and said they were investigating the explosion as "a result of natural causes".

NSW Premier Mike Baird said all the victims were "very lucky" and a large number of emergency services would respond to the scene.

"The boat was on a ramp coming in and out of the harbour. It was not there for long, and we believe that when that happened there was something like a very large explosion," Mr Baird said.

The Lighthouse Marina, about 15 kilometres from Brisbane, was a popular fishing location for locals who had been on a family vacation.

More than 1,000 people gathered on Wednesday to pray in the small town where the explosion happened.

One man told 7.30 there had been a loud noise and then smoke and water, "and there was a flash," he said.

"All we heard was one loud bang and then we knew this was going to be a big one, and we ran out to try to protect people."

Another man described the feeling as "absolute pandemonium".
